Bringing Eastern Bluebirds to Your Yard

Calling all Junior Explorers! This drop-in family event will provide hands-on educational opportunities for children of all ages to learn about Eastern Bluebirds and how to provide shelter, food, and water to draw them to your yard. You'll also learn how using native plants can help attract bluebirds and other native wildlife!

Pick up a Garden Passport and visit each learning station to collect a sticker. When all stickers are collected, you'll receive a Grow-Your-Own Butterfly Garden Take and Plant Kit! Featured hands-on stations include:

Build A Bluebird House (Demo)
Native Plants to Support Bluebirds
Bluebirds on the Sea Islands
Bluebird Nest Monitoring
Storytelling and Story Writing
Planting a Seed in the Garden.

This program is presented by the Kiawah Conservancy, Magnolia Garden Club of Johns Island, and the John's Island Library.

Registration is optional.
One adult per family.
Adults must stay with children at all times.
